Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PawVault ("we", "us") collects, uses,
and protects information when you use the PawVault mobile app (the
"App").
Information we collect
- Account information. If you sign in, we process your email address and basic profile details from your chosen provider (email, Google, or Apple). You can use the App anonymously without an account.
- Pet and health records you enter. Pet profiles, timeline events, documents and images you upload, reminders, and notes.
- Purchase information. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Usage and diagnostics. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics about how features are used, to improve the App.
How we use information
- To provide, sync, and back up your pet records.
- To enable AI features you choose to use (see below).
- To operate subscriptions and to improve the App.
AI features
When you use Smart Input or document scanning, the text or image you
choose to process is sent to Google's Gemini models to structure it
into a draft that you review and confirm. We do not send this content
for AI processing unless you initiate the feature.
Service providers
We share information only as needed with providers that operate the App
on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage,
analytics), Google (Gemini/Vertex AI for the AI features), RevenueCat
(subscription management), and Apple / Google (payment processing). We
do not sell your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Your records are kept while your account is active. You can delete pets,
documents, and other records in the App, and you can request deletion of
your account and associated data by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under
CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your
personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport and
Google Cloud infrastructure, to protect your information. No method of
transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
PawVault is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in
your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
